The World Challenge Team at saltash.net have set up an EasyGiving account, meaning that friends of the school can help raise funds without donating any money at all!
If you are shopping online, there is a chance that just by visiting the EasyGiving account you can help the team in their mission to raise funds for their trip to Morocco.
There are nearly 3,000 retailers on board ready to make a donation, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline and Sainsbury’s – it doesn’t cost you a penny extra but the team get a percentage of what you spend.
Joining is easy – simply head to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/wcsaltash/ and sign up for free. Whenever you’re doing your online shopping, go to easyfundraising first, pick the retailer you want and start shopping.
After checking out, the retailer will make a donation to your good cause for no extra cost whatsoever!
The 16 students involved have to raise £2000 each towards the trip, and also recently held a bake sale at the Year 8 parent surgery to raise funds.
The trip will involve a community project, where the team will be building toilets in a school, and students will also trek into the Atlas Mountains.
