Introduction of Cashless Catering

We are pleased to announce that we are installing a new cashless system for the catering service at saltash.net community school which will be in operation from Monday 20th June 2016. Our desire is to continue to provide and improve on the quality of the school meal service at the school.

A new cashless catering system will help us to deliver a more efficient, faster service.

From Monday 20th June cash will no longer be accepted at the catering till points or at the vending machines within the school. All payments are to be made by using your online Parentpay account. If you are unable to use the online facility, please contact the school’s Finance office.

Any amount of money can be paid into your account held within the system. Money spent will be taken out of the system. You can check how much credit remains on the account by logging onto Parentpay, or by the student using the balance checking machines within the school.

The system allows a daily spend limit of £5.00. This can be increased or decreased for an individual student by making a written request to the school’s Finance office. It is important that student balances are regularly checked as there will be no ‘overdraft’ facility for students with insufficient credit.

Further details of how the cashless catering system will work can be found here along with a permission slip for the fingerprint recognition system.

If you have any questions regarding the implementation of the new cashless catering system, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
