Dear Parent/Carer

I am writing to provide you with more information about our TEAM week as promised, which we are excited to be able to offer as we know how much students have missed Curriculum enhancement. The Curriculum will be collapsed and Year 9 students that are not on residentials will follow the same programme giving them the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom and to further develop our school TEAM values.

Students in Year 9 will need to meet each day in the main hall to register, Year 9 will be on a different activity each day with 4 out of the 5 days being day trips, with all students taking part in the programme. Students will need to bring a packed lunch each day, packed lunches will be provided for FSM students. Students will need to ensure they are prepared for all eventualities, they need to wear suitable own clothes and will not be expected to wear uniform, they need to bring a waterproof jacket and suntan lotion as well as plenty to drink. They should not bring valuables; school cannot be responsible for these. I have included the outline for the week below:

We will write to you nearer the time with more specific details and arrangements for each trip, in the meantime should you have any further questions please email myself at egue@saltashcloud.net or assistant head of year lporch@saltashcloud.net., who will be leading on these activities. We have tried to keep the costs of activities and trips to a minimum and have subsidised these, however we are requesting a £35 voluntary contribution, this will be on ParentPay. If we do not receive enough contributions then the external trips might have to be altered to include more in school options, we really hope that this will not be the case. We will require consent for the school trips should you not have yet completed this.

Thank you as always for your ongoing support.

Kind Regards

Mrs Emma Gue

TEAM week co-ordinator
